Anodising

Working with our expert partners

Anodising is an electrolytic passivation process used to increase the thickness of the natural oxide layer on the surface of metal parts. It increases corrosion resistance and wear resistance, and provides better adhesion for paint primers and glues than bare metal. Anodic films are most commonly applied to protect aluminium alloys.

Anodised Fabrications.

Mettal do not carry out in-house anodising. Instead, we leverage our expertise and relationships to identify the best external partners. Mettal supply fabrications fabricated from anodising-grade aluminium, onto which our partners anodise.

Fabrications are prepared in our factory, ensuring our clients’ requirements are fully complied with, prior to dispatching for anodising.
